LONDON - Money owed to Shakespeare's father, who was mayor of Stratford upon Avon in 1599, will be paid back to his civic successor almost 400 years late. Derick Smithers, who has followed the bard's father into Stratford town hall, is driving to Marlborough in Wiltshire, where the town's mayor, Mr Charles Bates, will hand over the £21.
