Belfast gang attacks man with bats, stun gun

A man was shot with a stun gun and beaten with baseball bats after a gang burst into his east Belfast home.

A man was shot with a stun gun and beaten with baseball bats after a gang burst into his east Belfast home.

Police said the attackers also fired five blank rounds into the air and damaged living room furniture before they fled the property in Tower Street.

The victim (25) suffered extensive bruising to his legs and arms. Detectives are trying to establish a motive for the assault that happened after the man answered his door to five men around 11pm on Saturday.
