Belfast airport passenger numbers in the October-December 2003 period rose 13.01 per cent to 916,200 and included a 21 per cent increase in passengers travelling on low-cost carriers.
This is up from the 9.5 per cent growth for the same period in 2002. A growth in passenger numbers carried by low-cost airlines helped to offset the removal of British Airways services to the airport in 2003.
