BBC plans series on modern IRA

The BBC is to risk provoking an embarrassing political row in Britain by producing a major TV documentary series on the history of the modern IRA. The series, called The Provos, is to be shown next autumn and will examine the development of the IRA and its relationship with Sinn Fein since 1969.
