Belgian brewing giant Interbrew says it aims to find a buyer for its manufacturing facilities at Bass Ireland's brewery in Belfast.
The sale process has now commenced and will finish by September, Interbrew said in a statement, adding that if no future buyer can be secured for those facilities, they will be closed early next year.
A successful sale would include a long-term supply contract with Interbrew UK to brew and package beer for the markets in Ireland.
