CONNEMARA may soon be playing host to its most famous American resident since The Quiet Man decided to move into his ancestor's cottage and woo Mary-Kate Danaher. King of the B-movie Roger Corman's studio in Connemara is putting the finishing touches to a film directed by James Brolin, the American actor-director who is better known as the companion of Barbra Streisand.

La Streisand made a low-profile visit to Connemara during filming and she and Brolin stayed in a local cottage before moving on for a brief sojourn in the Shelbourne Hotel. The word is that she enjoyed her visit so much that further, more regular, trips to Connemara may be in the offing.
