The author and Irish Times literary editor, John Banville, has been nominated for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award for the second time. Mr Banville was nominated for the award for his book Athena.
The shortlist of 113 books is nominated by libraries in more than 5() countries. It also includes Songdogs a first novel by Mr Colum McCann.
