Pipe, accordion and flute bands across the North are to receive funding from the Northern Ireland Arts Council as part of the British National Lottery awards.

The Arts Council yesterday announced £438,353 in grant aid. CWA brass band in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, received the largest amount £58,500 to refurbish its hall and improve access for the disabled.
