Brussels - The European Commission is likely to endorse a proposal today authorising the first exports of beef from the United Kingdom in nearly two years. The proposal envisages a limited resumption of exports from Northern Ireland, where the incidence of BSE is relatively low and where a computer database logs cattle movements.
