STOCKHOLM - A fire that broke out last night in the engine room of a Swedish passenger ferry in the Baltic Sea was quickly extinguished and no one was hurt, the news agency TT reported.

The ferry, the 14,981 ton Nord Gotlandia, was sailing between the Swedish Baltic Sea island of Gotland and Stockholm. It was carrying 1,928 people.
