At a special sitting of Ballymena Magistrates' Court, Mr Adrian William Hayes (26), of no fixed abode, was charged with murdering Ms Julie Tennant of Mount Street, Ballymena, Co Antrim, on August 5th. When charged the accused made no reply. He was remanded in custody for a week.
Ms Tennant's body, which was discovered on Thursday, was formally identified yesterday.
