CHICAGO - Mr Steve Fossett (52), from Colorado, sailed far out over the Atlantic Ocean yesterday in his attempt to become the first to circle the globe in a balloon and his expedition headquarters said the flight remained uneventful.
He was about 295 nautical miles east southeast of Bermuda - "very close to where we expected him to be", a spokesman said.
