CHICAGO- Mr Steve Fossett (52), from Colorado, headed toward the Atlantic yesterday attempting to become the first to circle the globe in a balloon, a goal that ended in failure for two rival teams within the past week.
The commodities broker was reported about 160.9 km north-east of Charlotte, North Carolina, or about 209.2 km from the coastline.
