Bail refused in intimidation case

A man alleged to be the local UVF commander for the Ballymena area was refused bail yesterday by the High Court in Belfast

A man alleged to be the local UVF commander for the Ballymena area was refused bail yesterday by the High Court in Belfast. Mr Samuel Carley (44), together with Mr William Burns (49), both from Rona Gardens, are accused of intimidation and assaulting a couple at their home in the Ballykeel estate last Thursday.
