Five people were killed and 20 wounded today when a bomb planted in a parked car exploded in southwestern Baghdad, Iraqi police said.

The explosion took place in a bus terminal in the Bayaa neighbourhood, police said, noting the death toll could rise.

Violence has dropped sharply across Iraq, but suicide attacks and car bombs still occur routinely.
