Vienna - An accused Nazi deported from the US arrived a free man in Austria yesterday, the only country to offer him a haven.
The justice ministry in Vienna said it would not prosecute Croatian-born Mr Ferdinand Hammer (78) as it had no proof he was involved in crimes against humanity during the second World War.
