CAPE CANAVERAL - The commander of the US space shuttle Atlantis pulled open a hatch on Saturday night, floated into the Russia space station Mir and was greeted by the Mir commander. Commander Kevin Chilton got a bear hug from the Mir commander, Mr Yuri Onufriyenko, and then received another from the flight engineer, Mr Yuri Usachev. Five more members of the shuttle's crew followed Commander Chilton through the hatch.
