Asylum seekers will be involved today in the clean-up of Portmarnock beach as part of An Taisce’s Clean Coast Week.

Asylum seekers will be involved today in the clean-up of Portmarnock beach as part of An Taisce’s Clean Coast Week.

The Balseskin Reception Centre residents will join locals for the event, one of at least 60 due this week.

The event was established last year and has doubled in size, according to Annabel Fitzgerald, An Taisce coastal programmes manager.
