Police in Northern Ireland investigating the murder of a Catholic man attacked by a loyalist mob arrested a man today.

Police in Northern Ireland investigating the murder of a Catholic man attacked by a loyalist mob arrested a man today.

The 20-year-old was arrested this morning in Coleraine, Derry.

Detectives are investigating the murder of Kevin McDaid and the attempted murder of Damian Fleming in the town in May.

Mr McDaid (49) and Mr Fleming (46) were attacked by a gang of men in the Somerset Drive area after Rangers beat Celtic to the Scottish league title.

Ten men have been charged in connection with the attacks.
