Gardaí in Dublin are investigating an incident of criminal damage at a pub on the city’s northside.
Members of the force were called to a premises on North Circular Road at about 2am this morning after a pub window was smashed.
A Garda spokesman said that following a search of the immediate area a man (26) was found hiding in the garden of a house on North Circular Road. He had a 5l container of petrol in his possession.
He was arrested and is currently being detained in Mountjoy Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
