Arrest in Galway murder case

A man has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the murder of a man in Galway last month.

A man has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the murder of a man in Galway last month.

Gardai arrested the 27-year-old man in the Dublin area today, a Garda statement confirmed.

He is currently detained at Galway Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Kieran Cunningham (20), a Claregalway supermarket worker, was stabbed to death at Williamsgate Street, Galway, on June 3rd.

A €10,000 reward has been offered by the Crimestoppers organisation for information on the whereabouts of a Polish man who is wanted for questioning in relation to the investigation.
