A man has been arrested in Co Kildare following the seizure of almost €100,000 worth of cannabis.
The discovery was made yesterday when a van was stopped by gardaí at Cardington in Athy at around 7pm.
A man in his 20s was arrested after officers found herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €96,000 in the vehicle.
He was taken to Kildare Garda station where he is being detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
