An Army bomb disposal team made safe three viable explosive devices in Dublin last night.

An Army bomb disposal team made safe three viable explosive devices in Dublin last night.

The Defence Forces deployed the team to an area of waste ground off Rathoath Road in Finglas at 10.50pm following a request by gardaí.

The devices were made safe at the scene before being removed for further technical and forensic examination. The scene was declared safe at 11.55pm.

It was the 166th call out for bomb disposal teams so far this year with 30 viable improvised explosive devices made safe.
