Dili - Indonesian security forces fired on university students and lashed out with blunt objects, smashing teeth and leaving many with swollen bruised faces during clashes in East Timor, according to the country's National Commission on Human Rights.
Mr Marzuki Darusman, deputy chairman of the government-sponsored commission, dismissed earlier reports that one person had died during clashes at the University of East Timor in Dili on November 12th.
