During what is believed to be a sectarian attack close to a north Belfast peaceline, a 14 year old boy and a 36 year old man were beaten in a paramilitary style attack.

Three masked men armed with sledgehammers smashed through the front door of a house in Donegore Gardens in the Woodburn area. They began to beat the man and boy with pick axe handles while the boy's mother watched. They escaped in a white Ford car. Both victims suffered broken arms.
