Armed raiders take cash from Limerick bank

Gardaí in Co Limerick are searching for two men after an armed raid in bank this afternoon.

Gardaí in Co Limerick are searching for two men after an armed raid in bank this afternoon.

Shortly after 3 p.m. two masked men carry a gun went into the bank in the village of Doon and got away with an undisclosed sum of cash. No shots were fired and nobody was injured, a Garda statement said.

The raiders left the scene in a 95D registered wine-coloured car, similar in make to a Toyota Corolla.  They travelled in the direction of Oola.
