A number of men wearing balaclavas were seen outside a house that went on fire in Blanchardstown, Co Dublin, on Saturday night. According to a Garda spokesman the men were armed with what may have been a shotgun or a hand gun.
It is alleged a number of shots was fired outside or near the house in Sheepmoor Aveue around 7.15 p.m. prior to the house going on fire.
Nobody was in the house when the incident occurred.
