An armed raider has escaped with an undisclosed sum of money from a bank on the corner of Pearse Street and Westland Row in Dublin…

An armed raider has escaped with an undisclosed sum of money from a bank on the corner of Pearse Street and Westland Row in Dublin city centre.

The man entered the Bank of Ireland branch with a hand gun shortly before 1 p.m. and threatened customers and staff before leaving the scene - possibly on a motorbike.

There was no one hurt in the raid, and gardaí are still at the scene.
