A 43 year old man is recovering in hospital with severe bruising and suspected broken ribs following a "punishment" beating in Coalisland, Co Tyrone, early yesterday. Three masked and armed men entered his house in Mountcairn Court and attacked him.
A 27 year old man suffered broken arms and legs in another such beating in Derry on Tuesday night.
Six masked men entered his house on the Carnhill estate and attacked him. A 17 year old girl was forced to lie on an upstairs floor during the assault.
