Armagh man dies in NY accident

Mr Patrick Cunningham (25), of Granemore Road, Keady, Co Armagh, died instantly at the weekend in a hitand-run accident on a New York street. The news has devastated his mother, Margaret, who lost her husband, Martin, an SDLP councillor, in October 1987. Mr Cunningham, a creamery worker, was killed while saving the life of a workmate when a lorry went out of control near a creamery, where they were both employed.
