The North's Health Minister, Ms Bairbre de Brun, is being asked to save the South Tyrone Hospital. Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council will try to persuade Ms de Brun to reverse the "systematic rundown" of the hospital. With several key acute services, including maternity and accident and emergency, already removed from the hospital, the council fears any further reduction in services could lead to total closure.
