Gardaí in Monaghan are seeking witnesses to a fatal road collision in which a 20-year-old man died early yesterday morning.
The man's body was found on a minor road at Lemgare, near Clontibret, Co Monaghan, at 7.30am. It appears he was the victim of a hit-and-run.
He was identified last night as Fintan Treanor.
Gardaí said they want to speak to anyone who may have travelled on the road between Drumbeo and Lemgare, Clontibret between 2am and 7.30am yesterday to contact them.
