Gardaí have appealed for information following a shooting in Tallaght on Friday evening.

At about 8pm, two men aged in their 30s were injured at Fernwood Avenue, Springfield, when at least one man approached the car they were sitting in and opened fire.

The victims were taken to Tallaght hospital, where their injuries were described as not life threatening.

Gardaí are seeking anyone in the vicinity of Fernwood Avenue and the Springfield area at the time of this incident to contact them. Those with information are asked to contact Tallaght Garda station on 666 6000 or the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.
