Two election candidates who are campaigning for the legalisation of cannabis have appealed against a ruling by the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties refusing them party status. The Cannabis Legalisation Party president, Mr Olaf Tyaransen, lodged an appeal with the registrar's office yesterday. Mr Tyaransen is contesting Dun Laoghaire/ Rathdown. The CLP secretary, Mr Tim Murphy, is standing in Cork South Central.
