Antrim road collision victim dies

A teenager died in hospital today a week after being seriously injured in a car crash in Co Antrim.

A teenager died in hospital today a week after being seriously injured in a car crash in Co Antrim.

The 15-year-old girl was a front seat passenger in a Volkswagen Golf which collided with a motorbike last Saturday evening.

Motorcyclist Gary Grieves was also killed in the collision which happened on the Mayogall Road in
Portglenone, Co Antrim.

The 46-year-old, from Claudy in Co Derry, was a serving police officer.

The male car driver was treated in hospital for injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.

The PSNI has appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
