Two Dublin animal welfare societies are to receive grant aid of £175,000 between them, the Minister for Agriculture and Food, Mr Walsh, announced. The Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals receives £100,000 and the Blue Cross Animal Welfare Society, which provides a free veterinary service in and around Dublin, gets £75,000.
