Anglo Irish Bank has announced a new savings product in advance of the date when the first SSIA accounts reach maturity.
The product offers customers interest at 4.5 per cent and allows them to save from €100 to €1,000 a month over two years.
The bank says there are no penalties for missing monthly contributions, and customers can also vary the amount of their monthly contribution.
