Analog Devices, a manufacturer of computer parts is to cut 150 staff from its Limerick workforce in a voluntary severance programme, the company said today.

The company employs 1,100 at its facility in the Raheen Business Park in Limerick and said the move follows a decision to concentrate on more advanced manufacturing operations.

Dennis Dempsey the vice president of the Limerick unit said the factory "continues to play an integral role in Analog Devices' global operations with investment in R&D continuing to increase on an annual basis".
