About £377.4 million in illegal drugs has been seized in the past five years, according to Garda figures released by the Minister for Justice, Mr O'Donoghue. He told Mr Bernard Durkan (FG, Kildare North) in reply to a written question, that about £35.8 million was seized last year, compared with £92.2 million in 1998, £15 million in 1997, £73 million in 1996 and £161.4 million in 1995.
