LONDON - British detectives are investigating an alleged paedophile ring said to involve former members of the St John ambulance brigade.

Six men aged between 38 and 69 have been arrested and the organisation has set up its own internal inquiry.

The allegations date back to the 1960s. Police are thought to have found up to 50 possible victims of the alleged ring, which is said to have operated in the Farnborough and Aldershot area. The offences are said to have been committed against boys aged from six to 16.
