The ESB says it expects to restore power to 90 customers this evening still without electricity after thunderstorms yesterday disrupted supplies to over 9,000 premises.

Power was restored to most customers in Louth, Cavan, Longford, Mayo, and Donegal by lunchtime today.

But crews are still working to restore power to around 50 customers in Dundalk and 40 in Longford. The company says it expects to have power restored by 5 p.m. at the latest.
