Algerian forces kill 12 gunmen

PARIS - Security forces killed 12 Muslim guerrillas in Algiers after a gun battle that lasted nearly eight hours around a villa hideout, an Algerian newspaper, Le Matin, reported. Muslim guerrillas meanwhile struck again in the southern Algerian Laghouat province, killing two people.
