PARIS - Algeria's security forces have killed 40 Muslim guerrillas, including 12 shot dead after a gun battle of several hours in Algiers, Algerian newspapers said yesterday. Residents also reported that security forces were out in force searching for guerrillas in advance of parliamentary elections due on June 5th.
