London - Television actor John Alford, who plays fireman Billy Ray in the popular programme London's Burning, was arrested yesterday over claims that he peddled cocaine and cannabis. Alford (25) was questioned by detectives and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Earlier in the day the actor was suspended from the hit ITV drama and told to stay away from the set. The moves follow allegations in the News of the World that he supplied drugs to celebrities.
