IRISH RUGBY fans hoping to make last-minute arrangements to travel to Saturday’s Six Nations clash at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium are faced with the prospect of having to pay more than €450 for airline tickets.

Ryanair has added extra flights to its schedule and last night quoted €457.54 on its website for a return flight to Bristol airport, leaving on Friday morning to return on Sunday evening.

Those travelling from Cork are better placed, but will have to act fast with Lee Travel last night charging €299 plus tax for the last eight seats on their day-return charter to Cardiff.

Aer Arann quoted €399.48 for a return flight which departs Dublin for Cardiff on Friday morning and returns on Sunday evening.

Fans travelling by boat as foot passengers will be charged €30 each way by Irish Ferries.
