A Continental Airlines aircraft has been quarantined at Dublin airport this morning after a number of passengers complained of suffering from illness.

Around 5-12 passengers displayed varying signs sickness ranging from headaches to severe nausea during the flight from Newark, New Jersey.

The port doctor inspected the passengers upon arrival and decided to let all non-ill passengers disembark the aircraft.

Two of the passengers have been taken to hospital.

It is believed the passengers may have been suffering from food poisoning.
