THE State's 250 air traffic controllers have voted to accept a 15 per cent pay increase deal under the Programme for Competitiveness and Work, writes Industry and Employment Correspondent, Padraig Yeates.

In return for the increases, the IAA staff have agreed to break all pay links with the Civil Service and other public sector grades.

After the general PCW increases are taken into account, the deal is worth an extra 7.5 per cent to air traffic controllers, as well as other technical staff with the Irish Aviation Authority.
