A 32-year-old fisherman has been airlifted to hospital after being injured on a trawler 75 miles off the Donegal coast.

His fellow crewmen on the boat raised the alarm early this morning and an Air Corps helicopter from Finner Camp went to the scene.

The helicopter took the man to Sligo Hospital, where he arrived at about 9.30 a.m.
