PARIS - A day of action by French media and charities to fight the spread of AIDS raised only a fraction of its target sum, a failure organisers blamed largely on a televised outburst against the government by an AIDS militant. Sidaction - which was capped by a five hour, star studded programme, raised $8 million in donations compared with $70 million in 1994.
