AN EU survey has found nearly half of Irish people, representing an increase, consider agriculture to be very important to the future, writes SEAN MACCONNELL

The Eurobarometer survey conducted between November and December last year by TNS MRBI found three out of five Irish people had knowledge of the Common Agricultural Policy (Cap). This was the third highest in the EU. Most of the Irish surveyed thought the Cap was doing a much better job than two years ago.
